Finished!

Tizz:        I finished all 100 days, you know.

Rowdy:     I know.

Tizz:         I did some more on Substack. Most, though, perhaps 70 or more, I guess, I did every morning on paper. This place *taps computer* is too distracting. I'm trying a more analog life, for at least part of the day.

Rowdy:    Well done.

Tizz:        Thank you! I've managed to stay off the computer for an hour a day so far.

Rowdy:    Only an hour?

Tizz:        Sometimes two. Weekends, even more.

Rowdy:    Why more on weekends?

Tizz:        Company for the journey. I'm still a bit wobbly going out. Not as much, since we started walking at dawn again. My photos are telling that tale a bit, but I'm only allowed to upload a limited number each week.

Rowdy:    Dawn is beautiful.

Tizz:        She is.

Rowdy:    *looks confused* The dawn is female?

Tizz:        My cousin is female. Sunrise can be whatever they want to be.

Rowdy:    Ah. *chuffs* I want to meet Dawn.

Tizz:        I will tell her about you. We spent a lot of time together as children, and lately we've been reconnecting by text. I'm so grateful for this miraculous phone! *shows Rowdy her cell phone* It holds so much of the world's knowledge and connects us to the people we love. Plus, it has books, music, and a compass!

Rowdy:     And me?

Tizz:        There are so many photos of you, and notes to you, and links to your home on MissionWolf when you were in your wolf body.

Rowdy:    I am still in my wolf body.

Tizz:        Your *Earthly* wolf body.

Rowdy:    Ah.

Tizz:        I'm listening to Kimerer LaMathoe (she wrote, Why We Dance) right now. My pen name, Niki Flow, was a promise to myself that I have not quite managed to keep.

Rowdy:    Yet.

Tizz:        Yet!

Rowdy:    How have you been trying to flow recently?

Tizz:        Daily stretches. Walking. My friend J suggested bodywork (like massage, acupuncture).  I found a place near me that's reasonable for a half-hour session. Morning meditations outside. Singing. And soon dancing - small steps only until I'm stronger. Kimerer is very inspiring. "Dance isn't about fitting your body into certain kinds of movements. It really is about working with your own potential to move."

Rowdy:    That sounds like good advice.

Tizz:        'Tis.  Oh, and I'm trying to make friends with a beautiful black cat who has been visiting my yard for several days. He (or she) is very shy. I think I've made a friend of the squirrel living in the tree behind my bench. I've yet to see my bird friend though. I miss her (or him).

Rowdy:    I will visit your yard soon and introduce myself.

Tizz:        Hmm.

Rowdy:    What?

Tizz:        Well, a wolf is a bit -- intimidating. A spirit wolf...

Rowdy:    I am friendly and they will read my energy and know I can be trusted.

Tizz:        What a wonderful ability.

Rowdy:    You have it too. *bumps against Tizz and sits down next to her*

Tizz:        *begins scratching Rowdy's ears* Somewhere, dormant, in my cells, I remember these wild skills.

Rowdy:    Yes. Listen to those.

Days 5-9

Drawing of a wolf running.
Day 5, #the100dayproject - Lesson by Limo Sketch, YouTube.

Tizz: This lesson was hard to follow. The illustrator’s hand kept getting in the way. So…

Rowdy: Oh, that explains it.

Tizz: *narrows eyes* Explains what? Exactly?

Rowdy: Why I look so squished.

Tizz: *sighs* Yes, Maybe. Blah.

Rowdy: Well, it takes 10,000 drawings to mastery, right?

Tizz: Allegedly.

Rowdy: Only 9,995 to go.

Tizz: So, at one a day that will take…just over 27 years.

Rowdy: Maybe do two a day?

That Awful Day

~Art by Tizz. Art lesson by @easytodrawpictures on YouTube. #the100dayproject d4

Tizz: I never met your physical form.

Rowdy: Is that why you look so sad?

Tizz: I was, that day. I don’t remember what day it was. I was sad for weeks after I got the news.

Rowdy: Then I found you in your secret [sacred] space on the frozen l lake.

Tizz: I’m so glad you did. How did you know how to find me?

Rowdy: We’re always connected. All of us. Bodies just get in the way.

Rowdy

Tizz: I really can’t capture your beauty, you know.

Rowdy: No kidding.

Tizz: *laughs* I’ll keep trying.

Rowdy: I’ll keep being beautiful.

Tizz: Deal.
